Allen "A.C." Clement Hebert

A.C. Hebert passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer. He was 82 years old.

He was a man larger than life and was loved and admired by all who knew him. He was a huge fan and supporter of the Vinton Lions and LSU. A.C. was born in Orange, Texas but lived in Vinton most of his life. He was an entrepreneur and trader at heart. He was a pipefitter out of Local 195 until becoming owner of Abear's Gro and Deli and Lottery, Club Giorgio's, Club Limelight, Club F/X, Bayou Gold Casino and Truck Stop, and Bayou Club. His passion included horses, fishing, and most of all his tractors.

He was born to Clama and Celestine Hebert in Orange, Texas. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila Gay; his parents; his sisters, Doris Denmon and Ruby Ballard; and his brothers, Bruno Heber an Harris Hebert. Family left to cherish precious memories of A.C. "PawPaw" are his wife of 61 years, Jane Hebert; his son, Jeff Hebert and wife, Kathleen; his daughter, Debra Hebert and wife, Deb Gaudet; his grandchildren, Amber Leger and husband, Jay, Brandi Carrier and fiance', Jason Chavis, Carley Hebert, Jeffery Hebert, Jr, Carissa Hebert, and Lindsey "Tinky" Hebert; great-grandchildren, Jaden Carrier, Aaliyah Carrier, and Kaden Credeur; as well as many very loved nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service was held by his family on Wednesday, December 16, in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. The Rev. Edward Richard, M.S. officiated.
