Anna L. Edwards

She born in Scott, Louisiana and was a lifelong resident of Vinton. Anna was an artist who especially enjoyed painting and she volunteered her time at a local nursing home for several years. She was an extremely caring person and never met a stranger. Anna was an excellent cook and loved taking care of her friends and family.

Survivors include her children, Volly Lynn Bourge and wife, Meribeth, and Betty J. Gaudet and husband, Curtis, all of Vinton; four grandchildren, Philip Gaudet and Rebecca Gaudet of Vinton, Ann Ellender and husband, Ray of Sulphur, and Jeff Bourge of Westlake; and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip Edwards; three brothers; and four sisters.

Her funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. The Rev. Bobby Daniels will officiate. Burial will be in Niblett's Bluff Cemetery in Vinton.
