It's hard to believe another good man is gone. Uncle Poss I will miss our talks when I came down to visit. You would always tell me Black Baby Uncle Poss is proud of you and what you are doing for yourself. Nobody, but him knows how much I needed that and how much it helped me. I hope you and Daddy are having a time up there. Please, watch over your family you left behind, they miss you and need your strength to go on. Your laughter, love, strength, and kindness will be carried on by your kids and grandkids. I see a lot of you in all of them. Love you and Miss you!

On our last cruise with Poss, he told the waiter he would get a bigger tip if he could care of him each night. He said he wanted a glass of cold milk on the table each night he sat down. It was there from that night on. And one night he told the waiter he wanted the shrimp appetizer, it came with 3 shrimp. He said "but I want 22 shrimp". The waiter agreed, and next thing we knew they were bringing out 22 PLATES of shrimp making 66 shrimp total! Needless to say, we were all sick of shrimp after that!

Robby let Poss hunt from his deer stand and Poss killed a 9 point! Funny thing is, Poss thought he was shooting at a hog the whole time! This was the last deer Poss killed.

Pawpaw collected change so we would collect 100 pennies and sell them to him for a dollar, then we would take them back and re-sell them to him again! When he finally realized, he thought it was funny! He kept buying our pennies to be sweet!

Uncle Poss used to take Mark and I riding in his green Pontiac. We were about 8 or 9 years old and thought we were cool riding around in a real hot rod!
Also, he used to take us fishing and camping every summer. He always took a lot of the with us. Uncle Poss was the one that taught me how to cast a rod & reel! We had lots of fun times that meant so much to me!

My fondest memory of pawpaw Poss was camping. Every time he would make dinner, he would make corn pones. He would make dinner in the Dutch oven over the open fire. I'll remember pawpaw for the general sense of humor.
