Darrell Owens

Darrell proudly served in the U.S. Army. Darrell retired as a Mill Wright from Louisville Gas and Electric. He loved fishing with Noosie and spending time with family.

Darrell was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve McClelland Owens, two sisters, Jessie and Katie, and five brothers, Billy, Earl, Herbert, Doug, and George.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are son, Bryan Lee Owens and wife, Amy of Shepherdsville, KY; daughter, JoBrina Christine Sathre of New Orleans; daughter, Cristie Rae Collins and husband, Chad of Sulphur; grandchildren, Sarah, Megan, Abigail, Arianna, Erika, Daylin, Hannah, Garritt and Leslie, and Colton; one great-grandson, Knox, Raeley, Jaxon, and Grant; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation was entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. A Remembrance Service will be held at a later date. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hixsonvinton.com for the Owens family.
