Harvey Dale Stewart

He was a parishioner at the Vinton Methodist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding Harleys, and working in his garden. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Connie Talley (John), Bobby Stewart (Sherry), and Ricky Stewart (Vivian); grandchildren: Christopher L. Stewart, John Paul Talley (Alicia), Natalie Thomas (Michael), and Holli Huff (Nathan); great-grandchildren: Madison Stewart, Kyler Talley, Pyper Talley and Hudson Huff.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Anne Stewart; his parents, Harvey and Geneva Stewart; and siblings Alicia Faye McLeod and Joseph M. Stewart.

We would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Landmark for the love and care they had for him and to Brighton Bridge Hospice for making sure his final days were met with dignity and respect.

Funeral Services will be held in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton at 2 pm on Monday, March 23, 2026, under the direction of Chaplain Steven Bellard. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 am until the time of service.
