Kent Ray Laughlin

Kent was a native of Vinton. He loved hunting and fishing. Kent was a member of the Calcasieu Parish Employees Union.

Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Jesusa Laughlin; mother, Helen Mae Laughlin; son, Andrus Ray Laughlin and his wife Miranda; daughter Paige Marie Laughlin; sisters, Vickie McMillan and husband Randy, Karen Sue Earl, and Kimbely Kay Smith and husband Randy; sisters-in-law, Janie Barajas and husband Paul, Elisa Reyes and husband Horacio Garcia; brother-in-law Julian Reyes, Jr, and wife Sandy; granddaughter Allianah Marie Laughlin; Aunt, Barbara Rumery and husband Wayne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Andrus Laughlin; and grandparents, Louis and Hazel Laughlin.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. The Rev. Gerald Rodrigue will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
