He was a resident of Vinton and a member of the Lions Club. He was a faithful and active member of the Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a retired pile driver with Bo-Mac Construction in Beaumont, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Hare; two sons, Mark Hare and Kevin Hare of Vinton; his mother, Alice Walter; one brother, Danny Walter; one sister, Carolyn Baker of Vinton; three grandchildren, Courtney Hare, Tyler Hare and Austin Hare.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 8th in Welsh Memorial Methodist Church in Vinton. Pastor Roger Templeton and Rev. Thomas Riggins will officiate. Visitation will be in Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton, Saturday, October 7th from 5 - 9 p.m. and continue Sunday at 1 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. Hixson Funeral Home will direct the services.
