Linda Lee Thibodeaux, 86, of Vinton gained her wings on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Linda was born September 1, 1938 to Octave and Valmer Arabie. She was a lifelong resident of Vinton and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Linda enjoyed music, dancing in her kitchen, cooking, and shopping. Most of all she enjoyed spending time surrounded by her family.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Octave and Valmer; and her brother, Harris Arabie.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 68 years, Raymond Thibodeaux Sr.; daughters, Rhonda Vice and husband, Glynn, and Risa Schirmer and husband, Wes; son, Raymond “Jody” Thibodeaux Jr and wife, Becky; 8 grandchildren: Kristal Eastwood (Kristin Marsh), Kassie Eastwood, Kori Hebert, Ashley Pankhurst (Christopher Adkins), Abbie Durio, Faith Snyder (Joseph), Cheyann Fontenot (Tadyn) and Kenneth Schirmer; 13 great-grandchildren: Tristan Moseley, Dylan Duhon, Raigen Hebert, Emma Hebert, Branden Hebert, Kinley Pankhurst, Braylee Pankhurst, Braeden Durio, Cobe Durio, Easton Durio, Finley Durio, Alissa Snyder and Ellie Fontenot; along with other extended family members.
The family would like to thank Misty and all of the staff with Heart of Hospice for their love, care and support.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 pm, Friday, June 20, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow in Nibletts Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton from 9 am until 2 pm, with a rosary at 11 am under the direction of Deacon Jesse Menard. Those honored to serve as Pallbearers are grandsons, Tristan Moseley, Branden Hebert, Braeden and Cobe Durio, Kenneth Schirmer, Dylan Duhon and Honorary Pallbearer Jean B. Arabie.
