Lou Ann Leger Guidry, 83, of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was born to her late parents, Mayo and Benita Leger on February 9, 1942 in Orange, Texas. Lou Ann was a proud homemaker for over 60 years and became known as “Maw Maw Lou” to everyone. She enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, Bingo, Elvis Presley, an occasional trip to the casino, and most of all, loved spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debbie Walker (Phillip); son, Eric Guidry (Charlene) all of Vinton, Louisiana; siblings, Linda Hebert (Bill), Diana Collier (Danny), LeRoi Leger (Lydia), Ronnie Leger (Karin); six grandchildren, Jessica Hicks (Matt), Nicole Cormier (Derek), Chad Walker (Harli), Hunter Guidry, Drake Guidry, and Gage Guidry; along with her four great-grandchildren, Emma Hicks, Bryce Hicks, Christian Cormier, and Scotti Walker.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard Andre "Tony" Guidry; her parents; along with her siblings, Allen Leger, Dorothy Deville, Shirley Bujard, Kenneth Leger, Billy Leger, and Judy Leger.
Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton, Louisiana on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 10:00 am until the Rosary at 1:00 pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton at 2:00 pm. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, Louisiana.
