She was a native of Lake Charles and had been a resident of Evergreen Life Services, formerly Calcasieu Multihandicap Center, since 1990. Prior to moving to Vinton, Margaret attended St. Mary's Training School in Alexandria. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Vinton. Margaret enjoyed watching movies, reading, laughing, dancing, and especially loved being a wife because she enjoyed telling her husband what to do.
Survivors include her husband, Dwayne Guidry, whom she married on January 28, 2017; and her siblings, William Bourdier of Crowley, Vernelle Bourdier of Lake Charles, and Celia Bourdier of Sulphur. She is preceded in death by a brother, Howard Bourdier.
Her funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, in Morning Star Baptist Church in Vinton. The Rev. Elijah Jasper will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation is from 2 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
