She was a lifelong resident of Vinton and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marie was a proud supporter of the National Arbor Day Foundation.
Survivors include her children, Mark Courville and wife, Noi of Vinton, Earl Courville and wife, Debbie of Iowa, Quinetta Raggio and husband, James of Natchitoches, Terry Drawhorn of Vinton, and Letitia Asher and husband, Dustin of Coldwater, Mississippi; her siblings, Linda, Shirley, Betty, Pat, Judy, Roland, Russell, Debbie, Gary, and Jeanette; eighteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Courville; and her parents, Preston and Ferbie Moody.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 20, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Pastor Wayne Dartez will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
