On Dec 29th I drove by Vinton en route to Houston (visiting another LSU friend) and thought I haven't talked with Mark in ages, I should message him on FB. I didn't act quickly enough and instead send love and condolences to his family.

Mark was very special to my father, Cecil Walter. Dad use to give Mark his National Geographic magazines when Mark was young. He was a fine young man . He will be missed by all. I was close to his dad and have great memories of Larry.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Hare family. I am truly sorry for your loss. Mark and I grew up together, were classmates and graduated together in β€˜83. I’d not seen him in many years, unfortunately, but will always remember him as a very special person, highly intelligent with a kind, gentle heart, hardworking and respected by all. I recall how devoted he was to his little brother, Kevin, how proud he seemed of him- I can imagine their bond was very special. I hope you find great comfort in knowing Mark is now with both his earthly father and his heavenly Father. πŸ™

Mark was our go to guy when anyone of us at City Hall had a technical problem. We always said β€œMark what would we do without you?” We never imagined losing you so soon. Such wonderful memories made, I will miss you so much. My prayers are with the family. May G_D comfort you during this time.
