

He was lifelong resident of the Big Woods Community where he had served as a Deacon at Magnolia Baptist Church. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, stationed in Washington, D.C. doing naval communication intelligence. Oley had been employed with Krause and Managan for over 60 years and served as the secretary. He enjoyed gardening, taking care of his cows, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Gloria LeDoux; his three children, Brenda McClain and husband, Robert of Vinton, Pamela Fincher and husband, Doug of San Augustine, Texas, and Brian LeDoux and wife, Nichol, of Vinton; one sister, Ellen "Virgie" Mitchell of Vinton; six grandchildren, Dana Rogers, Brandon Martin, Kendall McClain, Cody McClain, Deven LeDoux, and Tommy LeDoux; and five great-grandchildren, Michaela Click, Austin Rogers, Lundyn Martin, Zoe Martin, and McKenna McClain.
He is preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Lucius Marcantel.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 27, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. The Revs. Doug Fincher and Don Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until the time of service Sunday in the funeral home.
