Robert Jearl Walton, age 84, of Vinton, Louisiana went to his Eternal Home on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. Robert was born on March 23, 1938 to Lake and Bessie Walton in McLeod, Texas. He was married to the love of his life, Betty Eaton Walton, for 65 years.
Robert retired from United Gas Pipeline after 35 years of service. He was a hard worker who loved his family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, his children, Patricia (Marcus) Olivier, Joy Cormier McLain, and Neal (Lorri) Walton; grandchildren, Michael (Melissa) Olivier, Phillip (Krystal) Olivier, Casey (Erick) Cormier, Daniel (Erika) Olivier, Loren (Josh) Labby, Leeanne Ruiz, and Carlie Walton; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Rev. Rob Tibbetts will officiate. Pallbearers will be Neal Walton, Marcus Olivier, Michael Olivier, Phillip Olivier, Daniel Olivier, and Cody Labby.
