

Rose was a Sulphur native who lived in Vinton for 24 years. She was retired from Delta Downs. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Rose loved spending time on the water, and taking care of her flowers.
Survivors include her loving husband of 24 years, Robert Stewart; son Tony Marcantel of Vinton; daughter Penny Tibbits of Westplains, Missouri; 1 stepson; 3 stepdaughters; brothers Kenneth Landry and wife Belinda of Sulphur, Eugene Daigle and wife Joan of Sulphur; sisters Barbara Dean of Sulphur, Brenda Lampaus and husband Claiborne of Sulphur, Katherine Chesney of Vidor, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 10 step grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Norma Trout and Lenora Thullion; and stepson Bill Stewart.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. The Rev. W.T. Darnell will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Sunday and from 8-10 a.m. Monday, all in the funeral home.
