Theresa Rose Guillory

June 1, 1936 – July 5, 2026
Obituary of Theresa Rose Guillory
IN THE CARE OF

Hixson Funeral Home-Vinton

Theresa Rose Guillory, of Vinton, gained her wings on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the age of 90. Rose was born to Otto and Anna LeBlanc on June 1, 1936 in Brazoria, Texas.

Rose found joy in the simple, steady pleasures of life and shared that joy in ways that drew others close. She enjoyed bingo, going out to eat, and the fun of playing slot machines, and she especially loved shopping online. Her deep affection for animals reflected a gentle spirit and a heart that made room for the small lives that bring so much warmth to a home.

A devoted sports fan, she followed football, baseball, and softball with genuine enthusiasm, cheering on LSU, the Saints and more importantly, her mighty Vinton Lions. Some of her most cherished moments were spent watching her grandbabies on the field or at dance recitals and cheer competitions, where her attentive presence and steady support spoke volumes.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Guillory; parents, Otto and Anna LeBlanc; and children: Rickey Guillory, Becky Hudson, Terry Foreman, and Gwendolyn Foreman.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Dana Durio and husband, Justin; son, Jeff Guillory; daughter-in-law, Karen Guillory; son-in-law, Harold Hudson; 10 grandchildren: Jack Hudson (Audrey), Chantel Hudson (Beau), Chris Hudson (Wendy), Derek Durio, Cody Durio (Lindsey), Brittany Bercier (Chris), Hope Young (Jason), Fisher Guillory, Kane Guillory, and Cameron Guillory; 14 great-grandchildren: Colby Hudson, Braeden Durio, Cobe Durio, Easton Durio, Finley Durio, Payton Bercier, Emma Rose Bercier, Claire Bercier, Isabelle Bercier, Anna Barrett, Bella Berrett, Neveah Hudson, Belle Ann Young, Jacob Young, Olivia Durio and Penelope Durio.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton, with a Rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday at 8 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton with Rev. Jerish George officiating. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jack Hudson, Colby Hudson, Chris Hudson, Derek Durio, Cody Durio, Kane Guillory and Honorary Pallbearers Braeden and Cobe Durio.
