Alton Lee Anders, Sr., 76, passed away on February 25, 2014 in Virginia Beach. Born in Washington DC to the late Alton and Lottie Anders, he is also predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Ann Teresa Anders, and beloved sister, Louise Attiliis. He was a retired Senior Chief with the US Navy. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 4632.
Lee was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, and diehard Redskins fan.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Chris and wife Robin, Donis, Christina, and Louie Anders; grandchildren Andrew and Alex Bancroft, Allison Harris, Matthew and Michael Anders, Holly Eastman, Whitney Hall, and Paul Martinez; his great grandchildren, Daniel, Meadow, and Zoe, brother in law, Franky Attiliis, sister in law, Donis Baxter, and many treasured nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests at 4:30 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 6pm.
