Anthony Joseph Novakoski, March 14, 1923 – September 25, 2018 has passed into his next life and rejoined his beloved wife of 70 years, Louise. Tony was born to Polish immigrants in Mocanaqua, Pennsylvania. He worked briefly in the coal mines before moving his young family to Brooklyn, New York, and then to Wheaton, Maryland, where he worked in the food supply industry until his retirement in 1985. Tony and Louise enjoyed many years in Spring Hill, Florida, until relocating to Virginia Beach, where they lived out their days in the care of their daughter, Nancy Shane (Stephen). Tony is also survived by his son Daniel J. of Ridgeway, Colorado, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his smile by all who came in contact with him, as well as his friendly greetings, especially to the golfers at the Signature as they passed by him, sitting on the back porch enjoying nature’s beauty and his daily cigars.
The family asks only for your prayers, and that you may enjoy peace in your lives as Tony did in his own life, and also in his passing. He will be truly missed and never forgotten.
