Arlene C. Kasmire
March 22, 1938 – November 19, 2018
Arlene Kasmire, 80, of Norge VA, passed away peacefully on November 19. She was born to the late Rita and Joseph Corcione in Mount Vernon NY, on March 22, 1938. She graduated from Davis High School in Mount Vernon and later from Northwest Connecticut Community College with an A.S. in Business Administration. During her career Arlene earned certifications in both health care and real estate. An avid reader of romances and mysteries, Arlene loved puzzles, games and baking pies for the holidays. She took her greatest comfort in the company of her family and dogs. Quick with a laugh or a story, and quicker to welcome the stranger into her home and her heart, she imparted to her children and those who knew her well a deep sense of compassion, leaving this world a more loving a place than the one she found. She is predeceased by her daughter Kathleen Kasmire, also of Norge; her sisters Rosemarie Cerrone and Sandra Hartnett both of New York. She is survived by her sons Keith (Ann) Kasmire of Virginia Beach and Scott Kasmire of Newport News; her brother Leonard (Michele) Corcione of Palm Coast FL; and her grandson Jonathan (Kathryn) Kasmire of Mt. Gretna PA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, at 1:00PM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at 415 Youngs Mill Lane, Newport News VA.

I did not know her but I knew her son Scott and he is very good friend of mine. We were classmates in Assumption University of Thailand in the year 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010. I am very much grateful to Scott; my noble friend who encouraged, helped, supported me in many ways to complete my studies. She must have been very good mother. I thank her because she bore him. If I am not wrong Scott dropped his studies and went back to the States just to take care of his beloved mother. Scott you are such a wonderful son with great heart. I am with you in your loss Scott. Her invisible present will continue to love and guard you Scott. Today is the 41st death anniversary of my father. you and your loved ones are always in my prayers dear Scott
