Barbara Warren English

Barbara Warren English, (90), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Barbara was born on August 24, 1934, to Vernice and Beatrice Warren in Murfreesboro North Carolina. Barbara graduated from Churchland High School where she met the love of her life Edward Howell English, they were married December 13, 1953. Ed treated her as a princess and cherished their sixty four years together. Barbara was a Contract Administer for the Department of Navy for 40 years before retiring.

Barbara lived a wonderful and full life. She was a devoted wife, mother and Nana. She enjoyed boating, camping, traveling and being with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents Vernice and Beatrice Warren, and her husband Edward Howell English and son in law David G Yandle. She is survived by her, son Edward Howell English Jr and his wife Roxanne; daughter Terri Yandle; four grandchildren Ashley Royer (Paul); Edward Howell English III (Ashleigh); Megan Richards (Kenny); Kevin Yandle (Kristin); eight great grandchildren Isaiah Royer, Elijah Miller, Gideon Royer, Edward English, Ean Anzures, Dorian Richards, Nolan Yandle, and Wade Yandle, her sister Betty Habermas and several nieces and nephews.

She leaves behind numerous cherished memories and shared experiences with her children and grandchildren. Her legacy has left an indelible mark on our family, and she will be dearly missed.

A private celebration will be held with her family. The family would like to express our thanks to Clara Ravenell’s All About Family, and Trinity Hospice for their care and dedication to our mom.
