Barbara Deseck McCook

Barbara Deseck McCook, 58, passed peacefully on October 21, 2019. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Barbara resided in Virginia Beach for many years. She received a bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University and served as a radiation therapist with Portsmouth Naval Hospital for many years. Survivors include her loving husband Clyde M. McCook, five children Lindy and husband Wayne Roberts, Katherine McCook, Sean McCook, Corey McCook and Ryan McCook and wife Katie; five grandchildren Kimberly Roberts, Sabastian Roberts, Alexis Roberts, Samantha Cup and Brendan Cup; a sister Deb Neighbors, four brothers Thomas Deseck, Donald Deseck, John Deseck and Dale Deseck. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019, 10:00a.m. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel by Celebrant Laura Barnes.
