Bernard A. Reaser, 60, passed away on February 5, 2020. He was born on November 27, 1959 to Mary Land and Leland Reaser in San Francisco, CA. Bernie served 20 years in the US Navy and, after retiring, worked for the City of Chesapeake as the Radio Systems Administrator.
He is survived by his daughter Alexandra Chen, sons Noah Reaser and John Reaser, sister Rebecca Mattox, niece Angela Rene Doyle and nephew Brian Dearen, his many loving cousins and his adoring 93 year old Aunt Dorothy Rutter, his son-in law Anthony Chen, his girlfriend Michele Abrahamson, and the lifetime collection of friends that he made along his journey.
Bernie was an accomplished world traveler and loved experiencing various cultures, philosophy, and sharing enlightening insights. His lifetime passion for ham radio allowed him to make friends from all over the world, and share his witty sense of humor, bringing smiles to the many people he met. He had a great appreciation for art, including music of all genres and loved to attend concerts. He also enjoyed learning, scuba diving, shooting, fishing, camping, gardening, reading, and cooking. He was a dedicated papa cat and couldn’t imagine a life without cats.
We lost him too soon and we will continue to feel his love as we look for his bright light, listen for his soft whispers, and treasure our loving memories.
