Ms. Betty Baker Banaag, of Virginia Beach passed away on Friday January 28, 2022. She was born in Murfreesboro, North Carolina on December 7, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benny and Ruby Baker; and two siblings, Kenneth Baker and Mary Ann Baker.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Russell Reiter, Jr; and two brothers, R. Wayne Baker of Fayetteville, NC and Robert Baker of Bangor, Maine.
She began her career in maritime shipping in 1957 with United Fruit in Norfolk, Virginia. She then moved to Capes Shipping where she worked for over 45 years, retiring as manager of Container operations.
