Carol held several positions in the public service field. She was an Emergency Medical Technician for Davis Corner and Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squads as well as a member of Tidewater Search and Rescue. Later on, she joined the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s office as a Deputy Sheriff and went on to be a Private Investigator.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Frank L. Beard Jr. and daughter Jennifer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Tidewater Search and Rescue (www.tsar.org), Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad (http://www.kvrs.org ) or the charity of your choice.
