Chong (Sue) Miller, 72, passed away on May 13, 2016 surrounded by her family. Her early years were difficult as she was orphaned at the age of seven and left to survive on her own at the age of eleven following the Korean War.
Survive she did and through fate she found the love of her life, Rex. She made a loving home and a good life for her children with what little she and her husband had during their early marriage. She did not let the tough life she was given define her but instead was a “firecracker” of a woman who loved fiercely and selflessly. She was the true definition of a solid rock that held the family together through good and bad times. She will always be remembered as the epitome of a mother’s sacrificial love.
She will forever be cherished and adored by her one true love, Rex, her “Yobo” (Korean for sweetheart or honey) of 45 years; her children, Chang (Kim) and her husband, Alan, Tae and his wife, Na, Kimberly, and James; and grandchildren, Rachel, Kahan, Zachary, Tyanna, and Tyler.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 6-8pm with a 7pm service at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, 4889 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach VA 23462.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milner’s Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434. You may offer condolences to the family at
