On October 2, 2026, at the age of 82, Claudine Henrietta Mackay went home to be with the Lord and was reunited with her loved ones who passed before her.
Claudine came to the U.S. to marry the love of her life, John Neil Mackay Sr. Together, they built a beautiful family that became her greatest legacy.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Michele Torre; her husband, John Neil Mackay Sr.; her son, Patrick Mackay; her sister, Michele Noble; her granddaughter, Katelyn Mackay; and her great-granddaughter, Mileena Marie.
Claudine is survived by her children, John N. Mackay Jr. and partner Cathleen Ronaghan; Michele Christian and husband George; and Jessica Gama and husband Michael; as well as her niece, Virginia Torbett.
She also leaves behind 11 beloved grandchildren: Ryan, Nicky, Alex, Aliyah, Devin, Mason, Brad, Casey, Amanda, Jack, and Meghan; seven great-grandchildren; and two more great-grandchildren on the way.
Her love, strength, and memory will live on forever through the family she cherished so deeply.
Viewing and visitation will be Friday, October 9, 2026, 5:00–7:00 PM at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 10, 2026, 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8100 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA.
