Concetta Italia Bell Skiba
February 18, 1963 – August 28, 2020
Tina was the first born child of Cosima and Temple Burton Bell, Sr., born on February 18, 1963 in Virginia. She grew up on the Eastern shore enjoying the love of her family and the peacefulness of picking peaches in the fields. She started her own title business which she successfully ran for many years. She was proud of her daughters and all that they accomplished. She met her husband and soulmate, Timothy A. Skiba in February 2004. They were married in Panama City, Florida on May 27, 2006. Together they lovingly joined their families and treasured their four daughters. They navigated many adventures, including a sailing trip from Puerto Rico to Panama City, Florida. Tina loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. If you met Tina, you knew immediately, she was a faithful servant; whatever was needed she was willing to provide. She lovingly shared her time, faith, resources, and love. Her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews were her pride and joy as she took every opportunity she had to spend time with them. Tina is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Timothy A. Skiba; Cosima and Temple Bell, her children: Victoria (Phillip) Dietz, Courtney Wallace, Lessie (Trevor) Longstreet, Rudi Skiba. Her grandchildren: Caroline and Phillip Charles Dietz. Her siblings: Temple (Jessica) Bell, Dorothy (Britt) Johnson, and beloved nieces and nephews Myranda, Marley, Olivia, Temple (Tre) and Jacob; and several cousins and loving in-laws.
Tina will be remembered for her bright smile, warm heart, unwavering faith and unconditional love. She hugged hard, felt deeply and treated every minute as though it mattered. We ask that you do the same to honor her legacy. Tina’s beautiful and vibrant life will be celebrated at a service on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Church of the Ascension 4853 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA. The family will receive visitors at 12:30 that afternoon at the church. Tina asked all who attend to dress in vibrant colors and come with more joy than sorrow in your hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia (foodbankonline.org) or Penn Medicine (pennmedicine.org/giving). The service will also be streamed online for those unable to attend in person.
