I first met David when my wife and myself had went to the beach on vacation. I noticed this gentleman trying to carry his diving equipment down to the beach. When I asked him if I could help him, he quickly said yes. We introduced ourselves to one another. And became friends ever since. He will truly be missed. My heart goes out to his family.

I met David in the late 60's at Wrightsville Beach.  We surfed and hung out together and had many mutual friends.  He was a great guy.  I ran into him a few years ago in Southport and it was good to see that the years had been good to him.  When I saw his photo in the paper I could still see the young  David that I met all those years ago.  The world is a lesser place with his passing.  John Hutton 

Rest in peace my friend from long ago. We were in the same class and best friends all the way through elementary school at Sunset Park. Great guy and great friend! Surely will be missed!

Dear Linda and entire Pearsall Family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. We thought so much of David and are so blessed to have met him. We'll always remember the first time we met him ...at the NC Maritime Museum. We'll remember seeing him diving in the distance and how wonderful he was to Mama Jane. We'll also always remember the love we could see between Linda and David.

I met David through his sister Kay Pearsall Zimmerman, we were roommates and have remained BFF over forty years. David was a great brother to Kay and a friend to myself. He would give us a hard time and tease us unmercifully in a good way. I gained a lot of respect for David over the early years. I am sending my deepest condolences to his partner, children, grandchildren and his sister. RIP David
