The world lost one of its’ brightest lights, Dawn Noble Keatley Rowley, on Friday, February 4th, 2022. She passed away in the arms of her loving and dedicated husband of almost 44 years, Ernest Lee Rowley. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia to Louise Noble and Jay Dyke Keatley. Dawn was survived by her younger brother, Jay Keatley, and her oldest sister, Lisa Ray.
Dawn spent her life being a devoted mother to her four children: Katherine Lowe, Marshall Rowley, Sarah Hitchings, and Hannah Vogelsmeier. Dawn was also a grandmother to a gaggle of grandchildren that were her absolute delight: Brystol Rowley, John O’Bryen, Colton Rowley, Noah Lowe, Dove Scott, Levi and Jamie Vogelsmeier, and Ace, Scout and Birdie Hitchings.
An avid gardener and artist, she used her time and talents to make the world more beautiful. She often enjoyed God’s creation and had a particular passion for birds. She will always be remembered for the profound love that she showed to family, friends, strangers, and every thrift store and antique shop in the Tidewater area. She is now home with her Lord and Savior, having the biggest celebration. She will be sorely missed on this side of Heaven.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her incredible life and legacy at a graveside service on Monday, February 14th at 2pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery: 8100 Granby St. Norfolk, VA 23505
