He was born on November 23, 1929 in Harlowton, Montana. Don was preceded in death by his parents August Carl Pollman and Irene Geneva Pollman as well as his sister, Connie Barnard. Don was raised in Big Timber, Montana until he joined the Army in 1951 serving in the Korean War. He married the former Priscilla Marie Eldred of Northhome, Minnesota in 1957. They settled in Libby, Montana residing there for over 40 years, and raised one son, Adam Pollman. Don worked for the Champion Lumber Mill in Libby for over 20 years. When the Mill closed Don worked delivering the Missoulian paper to Troy and Bull River areas. Don and his wife moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2010 to be near their son’s family while he continues to serve in the US Navy.
