Doris Colleen Adcock

Doris Colleen Adcock, 86, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Virginia Beach. Born in Colerain, NC, to the late David and Mary Daniels Cobb, she was also predeceased by her brother, David Lee Cobb, Jr. and sister, Christine Bryant.

She was a homemaker who loved and adored her family. In her spare time she loved traveling throughout the world. She was a devout Christian dedicated to her Christian values and life in the church, instilling those values in her children and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Winton Adcock; sons, Michael Adcock (Dianne), Sonny Adcock (Ali); daughter, Monica Thomas (James W.); brother, Earl David Cobb; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Monday, February 25, 2014 at Smith and Williams Kempsville Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 11am on Tuesday inside the Smith and William’s chapel with burial immediately following in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
