She was born in Peckville, PA to the late Henry and Mary Hofsommer. She was a stay-at-home Mom who took wonderful care of her husband and children. She also worked for many years at Leggett department store, now known as Belk, in Customer Service.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 73 years, John W. Beck; 4 children, Ellen Conkey (Tom), Nancy Wade (Larry), Christopher Beck (Kim), and Amy Reynolds; son-in-law, Klaus Steffen; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her oldest daughter, Susan Beck, one brother, and one sister.
