Edwin J. Hutcheson III passed away September 10, 2018 in Virginia Beach, VA at age 79. Ed was born in Norfolk, Virginia and attended Norview High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and founded Hutcheson Realty, Inc in 1977.
Ed enjoyed traveling around the world, spending time with family and had lots of fun with friends. He went to more countries than one can count, often encouraging friends and family to join him. He loved riding his Harley and had many hobbies, skit shooting, golfing, hunting, fishing and boating. Ed will always be here in memory and in the heart of family and friends.
Ed was proud of his loving, loyal wife of 53 years, Francine Hutcheson. He loved his family, son, Tye Hutcheson and his wife, Florence Hutcheson, PHD, and daughter, Tracy Hutcheson Tindle, MD, and the five grandchildren, Mary Cameron, Crawford, Chaney (Tindle), and Chloé and Isabel (Hutcheson). Ed was friendly, patriotic with a big heart for others and found laughter in every situation and had a super outgoing personality.
There will be a gathering of family and friends remembering Ed, Saturday, October 13, 2 to 4 pm at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach and on Saturday, November 24, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at Cass Cay Restaurant in Punta Gorda, FL.
Ed loved helping others so in lieu of flowers, he would like for people to donate blood, honor veterans, donate to a food bank or similar charities.
