My condolences to the Tisdales. I'm remember that the Tisdales were my first neighbors when we immigrated to the United States and were very kind to myself and my family. I especially remember his sons Micheal and Edwin, Mr. Tisdale actually recognized me when his son Micheal was joining the Navy and I was re-enlisting.

Mike and family - 'Big Ed' was a great man. You all know that fact. One thing i remember well is how proud he was of his family. I only really knew Mr. Tisdale, Mrs. Tisdale, Mike (one of my best friends still to this day) and brother Ed. But there was no doubt that when I met Mr. Tisdale in Norfolk back in 1990, he was a proud man that was happy with the life he was leading and happy with the family that he built. If was something easily observed when he talked of his sons. That was very evident.
I cannot believe that it has been 30 years since I sat in his living room as Mike and I were headed out to the Newtown Inn. I enjoyed hearing some stories of Mike's childhood - I guess that is what demonstrated his pride in his family most.
My own son entered the military as a US Marine much due to the stories he has heard about the proud Marines that came before all of us - like 'Big Ed'.
I hope Ed knows that. Well, I know he knows that now. The Tisdale family should be relieved that he is still watching over all of you - from above.
I hope that he glances in my son's direction too - when he gets a chance.
Semper Fi.
Always...

Mike, Your Father was always around and so supportive during our years at Norfolk Catholic. Many times he shared his wisdom. I am sorry for your loss as he was a great man. He left an impression on me. You were so very fortunate to have chosen him for your Father. Love to you and your family. Louise
