Virginia Beach-Ethel Myers Hussey, 88, passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2011. She was born on September 21, 1922 to the late William Earl and Minnie Louise Myers. Ethel was an active member of Squires Memorial Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years and also a member of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Club. She is preceded in death by her husbands, George F. Storminger and William H. Hussey.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Claudia S. Maveety and George F. Storminger and wife Patty; siblings, Maybelle Hawkins and husband Thad, William Myers and wife Dot, John Myers and wife Barbara and Caroline Tyndall; grandchildren, Ashey S. Rollins and husband Marty and Sarah O. Storminger; great-grandchildren, Madeline and Logan Rollins; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Squires Memorial Presbyterian Church in Norfolk, officiated by Pastor Fred McCall. A reception will follow the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Creeds Volunteer Rescue Squad or the charity of your choice.
