I was so sorry to learn of both Dot and Gene's passings yesterday. Marguerite, DiAnn, Ann and I were having lunch, and Marguerite said she had just heard. Didn't know details. So many happy memories of them. I was a neighbor of Myrtle's and met Dot and Gene thru her. We had many pleasant get-togethers at the Village Inn both with Myrtle and after Myrtle passed. Towards the end, they didn't seem to recognize me and were confused when I called, so I didn't call anymore to get together, not wanting to upset them but thought of them often. They were such a joyful couple and fun to be with. Loved hearing their stories of life in SD. They were a real gift!

Eugene and Dot were two of my favorite residents at OLPH. They were a blessing to meet and I love led them both dearly. Two amazing people, that will always be in my thought.

Wayne and I send our deepest sympathy to Mark, Barb, Ben, Matt, Nadene, Michele and the entire family. I first met Gene at a party Mark hosted while we were in high school. Then we attended church together where Wayne and I sat in the pew behind Gene and Dorothy for years. We will always remember his warm smile and easygoing personality. Gene had a kind word for everyone. We hope your love and wonderful memories sustain you during this sad time.
