Eulalia Espiritu Olarte-Baet, our beautiful mother passed away peacefully on February 25, 2021 at age 94. “Laling” as known to friends, was born to Paz and Amado Olarte Sr. of San Fernando Pampanga on February 12, 1927.
She worked for Army/Air Force Exchange Service in Manila, Philippines during the Post WW II period where she met and married our father, Faustino Baet. They raised 8 children and moved to Angeles City while he worked at Clark AB.
They immigrated to the USA in the early 80”s where Papa retired as an architectural renderer.
Our mother’s passion and priority were her church and family. Her loving guidance always provided a clear path to follow in life with respect and dignity. She loved to garden, cook, sew and read constantly after her day’s work. Her wonderful operatic voice would carry through the house as she loved to sing.
Left to cherish her memories are her 8 children, Nora Dorsey, Austin Baez, Samuel Baet, Wilfredo Baet, Reuel Baet, Ruth Hauser, Jonathan Baet and Lalaine Strickland. In addition to the children there are 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The Celebration Of Life will be announced when the social conditions present themselves. In lieu of flowers, please make your contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
