Mrs. Evangelista was born in the Philippines and resided in Virginia Beach since 1994. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Evangelista and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons, Rene Evangelista and wife, Edna; Rolando Evangelista and wife, Teresa; Ike Evangelista and wife, Leilani; three daughters, Jocelyn Viqueira and husband, Rodolfo; Cynthia Macleod; Kit Emerald and husband, Quan Le; thirteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 5 to 8p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church by Father Tim Kuhneman. Burial will be in the Philippines.
