It is with great sadness that the family of Fernandita Filoteo Magno, 79, known to all as “Penny” announces her peaceful passing at home after a long battle with illness on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of over 51 years, Armando, their children Maria Norryn, Dinna, Penny Ann and her husband Kevin, her four grandchildren, Kira, Kai, Lyla and Eli, her granddogs Onyx, Opal and Bella Ruby along with her sisters, Aida, Zenaida, Sonia, and Victorina, and brother Bartolomew.
She was born and raised in Cavite City, Philippines to the late Bartolome Filoteo and Josefa Vale Cruz. She was an active member and First Lady of the Cavite Association of Tidewater.
A wonderful wife, marvelous mom, loving lola, sweet sister, amazing aunt and friend to all, Penny enjoyed surrounding herself with people she loved and sharing her delicious cooking with them. She also enjoyed laughing, singing, telling stories, and winning Pokeno.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5:00-9:00 PM at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the funeral home. You may offer condolences at www.smithandwilliamskempsville.com.
