Frank Stearns Tait

Norfolk – Frank Stearns Tait, 86, passed away March 4, 2010 peacefully at home. He was born Nov. 29, 1923 to the late Frank and Bernice Tait in Aberdeen, SD. During WWII, Mr. Tait proudly served his country in the US Army Air Services. He started a career as a lawyer working in Milbank, SD and continued his legal career working for Campus Crusade for Christ, CBN, and ODU. Mr. Tait was an active member of Kempsville Presbyterian Church, where he participated in the Faithful Men’s group and the choir. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and Dean Tait.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Jeanne Tait; sons, Mark Tait and Jonathan Tait and wife Rocatta; nieces, Kathleen Ouradnik and Karen Schwartz; and nephews, David and Philip Tait.

The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Kempsville Presbyterian Church. Burial will be private at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
