Dear Pat - Condolences to you and your family. I was very sorry to read of your loss. Parent or child or friend, passing on is a blessing for them but heart breaking for those left behind. God Bless and comfort you all.

May GOD bless you Pat, Gary and your entire family during this sad and difficult time. I was 13 years old when I first meet Mr. & Mrs. Garland Eaton. My Mom and Dad had just built a new home 1/2 mile south of where Shirly and Garland Eaton were building their new home. From the very beginning both families became friends as well as the kids did. To this day we have remained friends. My Dad was in the fire dept. at Oceana Naval Air Station and He got Garland a job as a fireman as well. For many years Garland and my Dad shared rides back and forth to the base. Both of them loved their jobs and friendships. Mr. Eaton will always be remembered as a kind, polite, honest and loving man. I am thankful that I got to know him on a personal level and that I was able to call him my friend for some 83 years. Rest in Peace my friend.

Mr. Garland has always been so special to me.
Pat and I grew up together and I spent a lot of time at the Eaton house.
His smile will always be remembered and his love for the Pungo Strawberry Festival.

I’m so happy I got to come home and see Uncle Garland this past Christmas. As well as have him see the newest member of our family.
