Garrett A. King

Garrett Asher King, 2 years old, returned to the arms of Jesus Christ on November 15, 2012. Born on June 18, 2010 in Norfolk, Virginia, Garrett was a friendly little boy with a tender heart and a huge smile for everyone. He was brave beyond his years and loved to share race cars and football with daddy and giving mommy big hugs and kisses. Garrett loved and admired his big brother and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his baby sister. In his short life he was a blessing to so many people and will be deeply missed by all. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jonathan R and Emily H. King ; brother, Christopher Pendergrass; paternal grandparents, Jonathan and Sherrie King; maternal grandparents, Glenn and Janet Hottel; paternal great-grandmother, Rosemarie King; maternal great-grandmother, Frances Howland and numerous other loving family and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 6 – 8:00 PM in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach. A celebration of Garrett’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to CHKD in Garretts name.
