On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, Gordon A Pearson, loving husband and father, passed away in his home at age 80. Gordon was born on August 25, 1940 in Jersey City, NJ to Donald and Florence Pearson. A veteran of the US Navy, Gordon’s service time spanned 18 proud years achieving the rank of Senior Chief which included serving two tours during the Vietnam War.

On January 12, 1974, he married Mary Elizabeth Dwyer. Together, they raised two sons, Daniel and Steven, and one daughter, Kathleen. He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel and sister, Joan. He is survived by his wife Mary, two children, Steven (Christie) & Kathleen, two grandchildren, Rilee and Zachary. and his brother, Brent.

The viewing & funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th, 2020 at Smith and Williams Funeral Home on Princess Anne Road at 1 p.m. with a viewing one hour prior. Burial will follow at Eastern Shore Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests any donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

My heart breaks for this wonderful family. I pray that Perpetual Light will Shine upon Gordon and May he Rest In Peace.

Gordon was a very kind quiet man. He will be missed by many. I will miss his friendly face and I know my dear friend Mary will as well. We live in a community of friendship and love. We all will be there to help and support our friend and family !

Mary is my godmother so I can honestly say Gordon has always been apart of my life. He was such a kind thoughtful man and was ALWAYS there to help and support my family. Although he was quiet his presence was know and you could count on him. I’m saddened I won’t be able to attend the services. Please know I will be with you in mind and spirt and will miss you Gordon.

I have known gordon and MARY now for 46 years they are not just neighbors they have been nothing but very close caring and loving friends I always think of gordon‘s huge sharing Heart !! Watching him years ago help take his granddaughter to the school bus taking the dog to his vet visits and seeing him through the window at his computer . Love the conversations we would have when I came over to visit I always found him very informative
