It really hit my husband and I hard when we just found out about your passing. Mr. Scott you was a very respectful man from the first day we met in your office space on Little Creek Road. You knew the tax business with your eyes closed and when you added Ms. Linda to your office that was the missing puzzle piece. The two of you were like 2 peas in a pod and were able to get the longest waiting line down in a speedy matter. To the Family don’t think Mr. Scott is somewhere laying around by now he has found where all the pretty women and a good drink can be found, just joking that’s would be something Mr. Scott would say just wanted to put a smile on your faces to dry up the tears. RIP Mr. Scott you will and already are truly missed by anyone who have had to chance to meet or be in your presence. Ms. Linda you got this and Mr. Scott will be looking down still guiding your on those super busy days. Mr. Scott you will be forever in our hearts always RIP, Tony & Valerie Acevedo.

Double SS is my name for Mr. Scott Silcox… maybe they are $$ signs! He always knew how to turn a dollar into many!
I met him in 1994 when I joined a great company called Bestway. We worked together in different stores and roles throughout the years . Our most of recent past was at the Portsmouth location … which had a huge tax office and he was rolling with the business! That location under his direction and aptitude and attitude made it one of the flagships of that business , hands down!
We had some great times together working late hours but it was FUN , laughed a lot and made it work. 

His attention to detail and dedication to his craft were unsurpassed .
Scott lived his life on the edge - couldn’t keep up with him sometimes but he LIVED up to his expectations and touched us all in magical ways that came from his big heart and compassion.

He will be missed , yes … but Heaven got a good one in Scott and his legacy will always stand the test of time .

My deepest Condolences to the family

We started out as BestWay rental customers over 27 yrs ago
 That's when we 1st met Scott, then he opened up the tax services in the same building, we  built a life long friendship with him, to include our children and grandchildren,  I always looked forward to seeing his cheerful smiling face, when I popped in to make a rental payment  and again for our tax preparation, as well as having our catch up conversations. My daughter, has met with Linda Hall, at the time Scott's assistant, while he took time off this last tax season, due to health concerns, I never would have thought I would never see his smiling face again, but to coin a phrase "Never Say Never😔", I found out Scott passed away, while googling the new address for tax preparation, trying to find a working number to reach Linda, my heart sank Monday when I read  that news., today Wednesday I googled Linda with BestWay taxes, found her, but still left messages on all the numbers associated with Scott for her to call me, she did and I cried finally remembering, and sharing Linda's  and everyone else's loss!  I got chills while sharing memories with Linda, as if Scott's presence was right there with us,  I feel and hear him, saying "Don't Worry, I Got You!".
Scott is siting, kicking back, and resting easy, celebrate the life he lived, and enjoy keeping those memories alive. Even though our hearts are heavy, we send love to all who are now working through their loss. May God be with you moving forward.

It's hard to believe you're no longer here in the physical.  When I got the text from Linda, I just froze. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I always looked forward to my yearly appointment to have my taxes done.  Between you and Linda, you two were truly two peas in a pod when it came to those taxes and taking care of your clients. You always had a story to share and a laugh to give.  You lived your life the way you wanted to, and I admired that. My heart is deeply saddened by your passing. May you rest peacefully in heaven. You will truly be missed.  My heartfelt prayers and condolences go out to the entire family and Linda during this difficult time
