Hazel Hodges Duke Bauernfeind, 92, passed away on May 6, 2017. She was born in Falkville, Alabama to the late Merritt and Mamie Hodges. She is predeceased by her first husband, Curtis Duke; and her son, David Duke.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joseph Bauernfeind; daughter, Carol Linhos and her husband Bruce of Lawrence, KS; daughter-in-law, Cathy Duke of Ohio; 3 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service.
