There have been very few men in my lifetime who truly understood the meaning of happiness and love and friendship. Herbie was just that man. I loved the way he loved you, Barbie, and his family. Your marriage was a testament to how you do it almost 50 years together in June. It is devastating to lose such a wonderful man and dear friend. You are and will always be surrounded in the love of your family and friends who love you and share your grief.

Barbie,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family during this difficult time. Herb was such a kind, generous, caring man and he will be missed. I know that he will continue to watch over you and also that he is no longer suffering.
May the care and love of your dear family and friends provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. Our most sincere condolences. I am right next door so let me know what I can do or stop by when you need a hug.
Fondly, Teresa Alfes, Michael and Cathryn Schwing

I did not know Mr. Ritter, but I have known his son, Tony through work over the past five years. Mr. Ritter had to be an exceptional man to have produced an exceptional son like Tony. Tony is hard-working, team-oriented, and extremely honest. It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with him, and I want to extend my condolences to him and his entire family for their loss.

I never knew Herb Ritter directly, only through the many conversations I had with my colleague Tony Ritter, Herb's son. Tony always described a very intelligent, committed and patriotic man who, though frustrated by health problems in recent years, persevered and lived life as fully as possible. If one of the measures of a life is the character of the children they raised, Herb and Barb can be proud of Tony as he is one the most intelligent, hard working and ethical people I have had to work with in my 30 year career.

Dear Barbara and Family,
So hard to put into words the feelings of love we have for Herbie. We all had so many wonderful times together and also many times of shared grief. Herbie always had a great smile on his face. Such a kind, caring and terrific person.
We will keep his memories in our hearts. Praying for you, Barbara and all of your family.
With so much love,
Chuck and Angela Hughson
