Mr. Salley was born in Baltimore, Maryland and served in the U.S.M.C. with 18 years of service and was of late a truck driver for Givens Transportation Company.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jennifer Salley, his mother Helen Klacik Rossiter, four children James William Salley III, Cristopher Michael Salley, Peyton Elizabeth Salley and Victoria Lynn Salley, two grandchildren Saige Elizabeth Salley, Alyssa Jade Salley, two sisters Janice Aaron, Helen Dent, and two brothers Charles Edward Rossiter Jr., and Gilbert Rossiter.
A celebration of Mr. Salley’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, 6 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
