James Irving Walker, 64, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully May 31, 2024 surrounded by family and friends.
Mr. Walker was born in Norfolk and was proceeded in death by his father James L. Walker and mother Verner Mae Hargrove Walker, maternal grandparents Verner Whitaker Hargrove and Irving H. Hargrove and paternal grandparents James T. Walker and Rosie Yong Walker.
He is survived by his sister Rebecca Ann Walker and additional family. He was an active member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church and lifetime member of the United Methodist Men.
The family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, June 6, 2024, in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kempsville Rescue Squad, PO Box 62345, Virginia Beach, VA 23466-9905, www.kvrs.org.
