Jane Davis Collins

She was a native of Newport News and was predeceased by her parents, John E. Davis, Sr. and Helen Gould Davis, her loving husband Stanley J. Collins, two brothers John and Carroll Davis, and a granddaughter, Laura Elizabeth King.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia C. Nowitzky, six grandchildren, Michael J. Nowitzky, Eric Nowitzky, Traci Herrera, Michael L. Nowitzky, John Nowitzky, and Joy Smith. Jane is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, four nieces and four nephews.

Jane was a loving wife and mother, and a devoted member of St. John Lutheran Church. She was a dancing teacher by profession and owned and operated the Jane Davis Collins Dance Studio in Norfolk for many years. She loved spending time with her family including her church family, and was extremely active in all areas of ministry at St. John Lutheran Church. She was a creative person who enjoyed art and crafts, and could make almost anything. She loved the Lord and was a faithful Christian until her death.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 12, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, 8918 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk, Virginia 23503.
