OBITUARY
Janet Mildred Edwards
August 15, 1942 – April 16, 2024
IN THE CARE OF
Smith & Williams Funeral Home/Kempsville
On April 16, 2024, our beloved Janet Mildred (aka Toot Hineline) Edwards went home to be with our Lord and Savior. Janet was a huge fan of Country music, all things Willie Nelson, Spider-Man, and WWE. No one was allowed to call her when her wrestling was on. Janet had a heart bigger than herself and would help anyone that was in need. As a friend, she was fierce and loyal. She loved babies and most animals. We jokingly called her an Animal Whisperer. She was more like a Pied Piper as wherever she went animals would follow and love on her.
Janet is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ross & Tami (Edwards) Holman (VA), her four granddaughters and their families, James & Ashley (Stone) Newton and their children, Danika, Henley & Marcus (MO). Brandon & Kirstin (Holman) Correa (FL), Brianna Holman (FL), and Haley Holman and her partner Matthew Callan (MI).
Janet is also survived by a brother and three sisters and their spouses, Edward & Peggy (Hineline) Rising, Mike & Andrea (Hineline) Romanczuk, James Hineline, all from (PA), Barry & Sara (Hineline) Lovett (SC). Janet is also survived by many wonderful cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
Janet was married to Jasper Edwards of (KY). Janet was the eldest daughter to Bronell & Bertha (Detrick) Hineline (East Stroudsburg), sister to Jack and Marlene (Strunk) Hineline, and a sister-in-law to Maryann (Byles) Hineline (Stroudsburg). All of whom preceded her in death to make way for our families and friends in Heaven.
The stars may shine a bit brighter, but our world is a bit quieter. Mom, you will be greatly missed.
